Harry C. E. Tolhurst, III
Harry C. E. Tolhurst, III practices in estate planning, probate, business law, real estate, political subdivision law, general civil litigation and appeals. He joined the firm as an associate in 2004, after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable David T. Evans of the Fourth District Court of Appeals in Gallipolis, Ohio. In 2009, Harry became a shareholder and principal of the firm, and currently serves as vice-president.
Harry attended Malone College in Canton, Ohio, before transferring to Southeastern College in Lakeland, Florida, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Ministries with an emphasis in business administration. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2000.
Harry is admitted to practice law in Ohio and the United States District Court for Northern District of Ohio, and is an agent for Old Republic Title Insurance Company. He also is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Tuscarawas County Bar Association, and the Ohio Land Title Association.
Harry has held several officer positions in the Tuscarawas County Bar Association, most recently serving as president in 2010. He has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition 2007 and 2009.
A native of Cleveland and the child of missionaries, Harry spent most of his childhood in Central America and Mexico. He is very active in his church, New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene. Harry and his wife, Melinda, and their five children reside in Dover, Ohio.
